Looking for a practical way for your family or friends to care to someone in need this Christmas?
Look no further! Christmas Care Packages are a great way to bring comfort and joy to one or more guests at Memphis Union Mission.
For each person you wish to help, get a shoe box and fill it with a variety of items, including:
Then wrap each box with Christmas wrapping paper and drop them off by Friday, December 20.
If possible, try to wrap boxes and lids separately, and use a rubber band to fasten them together. This way, guests won’t have to tear the paper apart in order to open the box.
Also, don’t worry if you can’t place every single one of the items listed above in one box. Just pack in what you can!
We will begin distributing the Care Packages to our guests on Christmas Eve. And any number of boxes is welcome, whether it’s one box, or 100 boxes. Regardless of quantity, someone at the Mission will know that they are not forgotten.
For more information, please contact Steve Carpenter at (901) 526-8403, ext. 2009.
